We use coffee to bring people together, and our dominant driving force is to encourage the coffee drinking culture in Kenya and Africa as a whole because, through coffee, we unlock minds and hold sober conversations that instigate for action and change in Africa.
Black coffee uses the hashtag #coffeeconnect to remind youths of the role of coffee in networking which is seen from the coffee dates we all go to; to the business meetings we arrange.
The coffee industry which was once a primary export earner is now crushing because of the population`s inclination and preference to other beverages, but we believe that if we encourage the coffee drinking culture among African youths and the future policy makers of tomorrow, we will help revive and redeem the value chains of this sector.
Our aim as young visionary leaders is to find viable solutions for various African problems, and we do this through a dialogue program called ‘’Black coffee lounge’’ which brings young people to a shared safe space where they can interact, network and table ideas while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Black Coffee lounges address various issues in our Economic, social and political atmosphere and they happen on Thursdays from 3.00-6.00 PM at the GariMoshi Art Center in Milimani, Nakuru.
